Summary: Fosshotel Myvatn was just as promised! Modern, clean, spacious and relaxing. We only spent one evening there but loved it. The beds were comfy, and rooms have everything you could need. We chose to have breakfast at the hotel which was an additional cost to our room, but honestly there are not many options nearby so we decided it was easiest. Delicious dinner at Gamli Baerinn just down the road! And totally enjoyed our soak at Myvatn Nature Baths.

Summary: Not enough parking on-site when we arrived. Could consider having the restaurant open later as a lot of people appeared to arrive after it finished dinner service like us. Fortunately we found another option nearby on the way into town.

Summary: This is such a beautiful hotel perched high on the hills with a fantastic view of Mývatn lake below. The hotel is exquisite and luxurious. The rooms were comfy and spacious. There is a restaurant and good selections for a paid breakfast. It's close to the attractions. Get there early as parking is limited.

Summary: Very good location. Very comfortable room with view over the lake. The breakfast spread was the best during our trip and the view from the restaurant was divine.
